The School has made rapid strides since its inception in 1964 and in 1971 became a full-fledged member of the Indian Public Schools’ Conference (IPSC). The School has been achieving consistently good academic results and excellent performance in various sports disciplines. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has adopted the School (since 1987) under the National Sports Talent Scheme for promoting sports talent in the country. A very large number of old students of the School are well placed in fields as diverse as Medicine , Engineering, Agricultural Science, Education , Government Service and Business.The enlightened guidance and inspirational leadership of Shri Balasaheb Vikhe Patil, Former Minister of Heavy Industries , Govt. of India and Chairman, Pravara Rural Education Society are largely responsible for the rapid growth and progress shown by this institution. Shri Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil MLA, Ex. Minister for Agriculture & Water Conservation, Govt. of Maharashtra and Chairman, ADCC Bank is the moving force behind  the modernisation and progress of the School. Their vision and aspiration are ably and efficiently being translated into  practice by the present Director of the School Col (Retd ) Francis Mathai.
